Pain of a music lover

I have always been a fan of the radio shows aired after night 9'0 clock that's the time, when you get to hear the evergreen melodies of 70's and 80's and not the Ussume Laerasay and Naaka Mukka type of songs. My most favorite show is Mirchi Gold with Karthik, The tunes played are really magical and mesmerizing. Songs rendered by musical giants like Yesudas,SPB,Malaysia Vasudevan,Ilayaraja and the wondeful tunes composed by MSV,TMS,Ilayaraja has no words to explain.

I was really saddened by the way Nalam Thana the evergreen song from Thillana Mohanambal made into a nonsense remix in the movie Silambaatam. If the wonderful RaasathI Unne from Vaidehi Kaathirunthal is remixed into a trendy hip hop one, I would be one among the music lovers whose heart will bleed.

Lets Fast Forward ourselves to 2025, If the Radio and FM channels still existed then, with the same wonderful programme aired in the night at 9'0 clock. The playlist would still contain the same songs of 70's to 90's. I don't think much of the songs which has been released after 2000 has soul in the music other than just being technically perfect. There are few exceptions like Kannal Pesum Penne-Mozhi, Nan Pogiren-Naanayam and a few more but these songs are recorded only once in a blue moon these days and you get to hear much of the erratic sounding stuff like Evan Di Unna Pethan, Aga Naga, Ussume Laerasays.

As a lover of the evergreen melodies, I pay tribute all the musical giants who have given us soulful music in the past decade. Signing of is Priyadharshan(Whose ears are plugged in to Azhaga Brahmanidam from the movie Devadayai Kanden)
